The Scottish property market has started the year with a bang. According to Registers of Scotland, the average selling price across Scotland has increased by 3.5% compared to the same period as last year. Homeowners in Falkirk can be particularly positive, with properties in that area having seen the largest increase in average prices up 7.3% at £129,550. 

The Monthly Top 10 for Property Prices sees the City of Edinburgh continuing to top the leaderboard at £269,587, followed closely by East Lothian and East Renfrewshire at £264,097 and £260,082, respectively. This is based on the average sales price in November 2019 

The Top 10 for Sales Volume, however, has Glasgow in the top spot with a fantastic 1,021 Properties Sold in November 2019. Aberdeenshire also makes an appearance on both lists, which is a positive sign given the recent difficulties that this market has experienced and homeowners in this area will be hoping that this is a sign of things to come for 2020.
